STAGE 1

Stage 1 — Identify

Identify the displayed engineering tool or measuring instrument.

STAGE 2

Stage 2 — Know Your Tool

State its primary application, standard material, and working principle.

STAGE 3

Stage 3 — Mechanic’s Challenge

Answer rapid-fire technical questions on tool specifications and workshop use.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • One participant per team.
  • Questions cover mechanical, manufacturing, automobile, electrical, and workshop tools.
  • Questions may use physical samples, images, or technical clues.
  • Answers must be given within the specified time.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited.
  • Points are awarded for correct answers.
  • Highest total score wins; tie-breaker conducted if required.

SCORING AND EVALUATION

  • Points awarded for correct name and functional description.
  • Speed and accuracy in the rapid-fire round.

GENERAL SYMPOSIUM GUIDELINES

Essential instructions for all registered participants attending VIYUGAM 2K26. Please review carefully to ensure seamless participation.

All participants must bring their own valid college ID cards.

Participants must carry essential articles (pen drive, standees, poster, laptops, prototypes or models) for their respective events.

Participants must abide by the final decision given by the jury panel.

All participants must follow the rules and regulations; any kind of misbehaviour, malpractice, or disruptive behaviour will result in cancellation of participation and immediate disqualification.

Lunch and appetizers will be provided to all registered participants.

Participants must register before the event begins and report to the venue on time.

Event-specific equipment, software, time limits, and participation formats will be announced by coordinators before each round.

Participants are responsible for following the rules and instructions announced before each round.
