CHALLENGE STAGES

STAGE 1

Stage 1 — Problem Selection & Ideation

Problem statements will be provided to all teams in advance. Each team must select any ONE problem statement and prepare an innovative solution based on the selected topic.

STAGE 2

Stage 2 — Innovation Pitch

Teams will present their proposed solution using a prepared PPT within 5 minutes. The presentation should highlight the problem, proposed solution, innovation, technical concept, feasibility, and real-world applications.

STAGE 3

Stage 3 — Judge’s Q&A

Teams will answer questions from the judges for 2 minutes to demonstrate their technical knowledge, problem-solving approach, feasibility, and practical impact.

How can we develop a smart medication system that goes beyond detecting whether a pill box was opened and verifies whether the patient actually swallowed the medication?

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Teams must consist of 2–4 members with valid student IDs.
  • Problem statements will be provided to the teams in advance. Each team must choose any ONE problem statement.
  • Teams must prepare a PPT presentation based on their selected problem statement and proposed solution.
  • The proposed solution must be original, innovative, and relevant to the selected problem. Plagiarism or copied solutions will result in disqualification.
  • Each team must complete the presentation within 5 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A.
  • Evaluation will be based on: Problem Understanding, Innovation, Technical Feasibility, Impact & Applicability, Presentation & Q&A.

GENERAL SYMPOSIUM GUIDELINES

Essential instructions for all registered participants attending VIYUGAM 2K26. Please review carefully to ensure seamless participation.

All participants must bring their own valid college ID cards.

Participants must carry essential articles (pen drive, standees, poster, laptops, prototypes or models) for their respective events.

Participants must abide by the final decision given by the jury panel.

All participants must follow the rules and regulations; any kind of misbehaviour, malpractice, or disruptive behaviour will result in cancellation of participation and immediate disqualification.

Lunch and appetizers will be provided to all registered participants.

Participants must register before the event begins and report to the venue on time.

Event-specific equipment, software, time limits, and participation formats will be announced by coordinators before each round.

Participants are responsible for following the rules and instructions announced before each round.
