ECE Escape Room

A mystery-themed room game where teams solve puzzle stations (matching resistor color codes, connecting paper switches, and solving riddles) to unlock the next clue and escape.

CHALLENGE STAGES

STAGE 1

Stage 1 — The Color Lock

Calculate a 3-digit number from a resistor color code to unlock a box containing the next clue.

STAGE 2

Stage 2 — Logic Puzzle

Solve a simple logic-gate riddle using AND, OR, and NOT gates written on a chart to get a door hint.

STAGE 3

Stage 3 — Final Password

Connect two wires on a board to light an LED indicator and reveal the final exit passcode.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Teams must consist of 3 to 4 members.
  • No phones or flashlights are allowed inside the room.
  • Clues must not be torn or broken; physical force is never required.
  • Teams get up to 2 hints. Each hint adds a 2-minute penalty to final time.

SCORING AND EVALUATION

  • Ranked purely by elapsed escape time including any hint penalties.

GENERAL SYMPOSIUM GUIDELINES

Essential instructions for all registered participants attending VIYUGAM 2K26. Please review carefully to ensure seamless participation.

All participants must bring their own valid college ID cards.

Participants must carry essential articles (pen drive, standees, poster, laptops, prototypes or models) for their respective events.

Participants must abide by the final decision given by the jury panel.

All participants must follow the rules and regulations; any kind of misbehaviour, malpractice, or disruptive behaviour will result in cancellation of participation and immediate disqualification.

Lunch and appetizers will be provided to all registered participants.

Participants must register before the event begins and report to the venue on time.

Event-specific equipment, software, time limits, and participation formats will be announced by coordinators before each round.

Participants are responsible for following the rules and instructions announced before each round.
